Dr. Bascharon is trained in preserving, investigating and restoring the form and function of the arms, legs, spine, and associated structures by medical, surgical, and physical means. She is unique in her approach in that she looks at the person as a whole, not just the injury or disease. Then she creates a treatment plan that involves a person’s mental, nutritional and physical wellness. She carefully assesses and diagnoses the injury or disorder, develops a treatment plan using surgery if necessary, medication, exercise and/or physical therapy. In addition to orthopedic surgery, Dr. Bascharon has vast sports performance experience working with athletes of all ages and levels to improve their competitive edge and reach a higher level of physical fitness through individualized tailored programs. Her unique methods use leading-edge scientific sports medicine research and technology to make sure you are getting the best results possible. By doing so she is able to zero in on how each individual can most effectively reach their performance, nutritional and/o injury prevention goals. She has a multidisciplinary approach to sports science and is particularly interested in women’s health issues, including the Female Athlete Triad, which is the importance of maintaining hormonal balance and nutritional needs specific to female athletes.
